Trauma Informed Therapy
Description
The trauma informed counseling program is responsible for providing assessment and developmentally appropriate trauma informed mental health therapy to children who have been identified as victims of severe child maltreatment, or who may have witnessed a violent crime. The counselor may also provide counseling to non-offending caregivers.
Availability
Trauma Informed Therapy is available free of charge to any child who makes a disclosure of severe abuse in a Forensic Interview.

Description
The Prevention Advocate is responsible for the coordination, development, implementation and evaluation of efforts which promote effective child abuse education including how to recognize child abuse, how to respond, and how to report child abuse. Efforts include school based interactive classroom presentations, presentations to business professionals, civic organizations, churches, and other community groups.

This service is available Monday through Friday during regular business hours, and on other days and times upon request.

Family and Child/ Victims Advocacy Program is responsible for providing direct program services to child victims and their non-offending caregivers. Family and child advocacy is provided to victims and their caregivers throughout the investigation and until the child reaches 18 years of age.

Description
The Forensic Interviewer is responsible for conducting child interviews with alleged victims of severe abuse, neglect, drug exposed/endangered, or child witnesses to violence, as established by Forensic Interview Protocol. Information will be obtained in a manner that is legally defensible and minimizes stress to the child.

This service is available to any child who has been reported to the Department of Children's Services, or Law Enforcement, as an alleged victim of severe child abuse.
