Youth Villages is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to helping emotionally and behaviorally troubled children and their families live successfully. We help more than 35,000 children and families each year from 25 states and Washington, D.C.

Intercept (Intensive In-home Services) - The Intercept intensive in-home services program is an effective alternative treatment for children and youth who otherwise would be placed in foster care, residential treatment, detention centers, hospitals or other juvenile facilities. Diverting youth from these out-of-home placements, Intercept family intervention specialists provide guidance and treatment resources for youth and families in their own homes.

YVLifeSet - A successful transition to adulthood includes maintaining stable and suitable housing, remaining free from legal involvement, participating in an educational/vocational program and developing the life skills necessary to become a responsible citizen. Youth Villages' YVLifeSet program works not only with former foster youth and other vulnerable young people but also with their support systems to help ensure a more successful transition.

Foster Care - At Youth Villages, we see our foster parents as crucial allies in helping children overcome past trauma and move on to live successful lives. We know that a loving family who treats their foster child like one of their own is more important, more life-changing and more empowering than anything else we can give a child. Because we know that, we provide our foster parents with 24-hour support. That's support anywhere, any time. All you have to do is call. Youth Villages places children in foster homes in Tennessee and Mississippi.

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm (on call 24/7)

Eligibility:

Intercept - Serves children of any age (infant to age 18) who have serious emotional and behavioral problems

YVLifeSet - Typical age range is 17-22 years

Foster Care - Be legally employed, have verifiable monthly income above the poverty line, be single or legally married for at least one year, have homeowner's or renter's insurance, have a current driver license, have car insurance, have reliable transportation, be at least 25 years of age, pass a background check, complete foster parent training, complete a home study
