Description:
The Child Advocacy Center of Rutherford County has three programs. The child abuse program works as a multidisciplinary team to respond to child abuse and sexual abuse cases. The Drug Endangered Children Program provides in home services to help children and families cope with addiction issues. The child sexual abuse prevention training teaches adults how to protect children form child sexual abuse and what to do if child reports abuse to them.

We are all Mandatory Reporters of Child Abuse and Neglect. Report suspicions of abuse and neglect of children when the suspected abuse and neglect took place in Tennessee. TCA 37-1-403 and TCA 37-1-605 law requires all persons to make a report when they suspect abuse, neglect or exploitation of children.

Description

To activate the Child Protective Investigative Team report abuse to the Department of Children's Services at 1-877-237-0004. Need a referral from DCS, law enforcement, or the DA's office to be admitted to the program.
