Description:
Friends of the Library is a non-profit whose supporters of the Memphis Public Libraries raise money for the library system. These funds are raised 4 ways: 1) through Second Editions book store located in the lobby of the Benjamin Hooks Library, 2) online bookstore, MEMFOL @ www.amazon.com/shops/memphislibraryfriends, 3) donations to Friends of the Library @ www.memphislibrary.org/support/friends and 4) biannual fund raising book sales in May and October. Donations are accepted of gently used books, magazines, CDs, DVDs, VHS, vinyl, cassettes and sheet music. Registered and verifiable non-profit organizations can contact regarding need for books. Donations are accepted during open hours at any library location, including Second Editions. Staff are available to help customers unload donations at the dock behind Central Library Mon-Fri 8:30 am - 3:00 pm; drive up to the dock from the Walnut Grove entrance behind the library and ring the bell for help.
Hours:
Second Edition Bookstore Hours: HOURS: TUESDAY - SATURDAY 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Donations accepted at Central Library dock behind the library on Mon - Fri from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm; drive up and ring bell at the door for assistance; Friends of the Library volunteers are usually available on Mon - Thu from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

FOL Annual Membership Fees: $5.00/Student or Educator; $10.00/individual; $8.00/Seniors;$25.00/Family; Business/Corporate Sponsor $50.00
