Description:
The Cheatham County Community Enhancement Coalition is made of citizens who volunteer to unify and enhance Cheatham County through education, prevention and advocacy of policy addressing underage drinking, under age tobacco use and the opioid epidemic. The coalition provides educational workshops, youth support groups, parent support networks, overdose prevention trainings, youth leadership programs, town hall meetings, community health fairs, public awareness campaigns, medication lockbox distribution, non-profit volunteering opportunities, therapeutic and resilience-building camp for children, youth, and families, and free substance use prevention training. The coalition provides free training in how to use Narcan, an opioid reversal agent, in their offices. Each person trained will leave with a free Narcan kit.
Hours:
Office Hours: Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, closed on holidays and weekends. Call for an appointment for training or classes; Quarterly Coalition meetings are the 3rd Thursday of the month from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the Pinnacle Financial Partners Meeting Room (2nd floor), 524 S Main Street; Ashland City, TN 37015, starting on October 17, 2024. Future meeting dates include January 16, 2025, April 17, 2025, and July 17, 2025.
