Description
Primary point of contact within county government for the coordination of emergency management activities including planning, preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation.
Hours
Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 4:30 pm *Regarding tornado shelters* Henry County Emergency Management along with the Henry County Sheriffs Dept will decide when county FEMA rated tornado shelters will open to the public. The National Weather Service will issue a storm prediction risk category forecast for storm events, which a category level 3 or enhanced risk will trigger openings if students are not present at schools. Category risk level 3 will more than likely cause the NWS to issue a tornado watch. During a risk level 2 or slight category, a tornado watch can be issued however, not usually.
