Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteers are invited to read in elementary and Pre-K classrooms, organize book drives, perform office work, process donated books, organize a volunteer group to process donated books, assist with special events, and more. Visit our website for more information. Agency does not accept volunteers with a court-mandated community service requirement.

Intake Procedure
Conduct a book drive through your workplace, house of worship, or book club. Please schedule an appointment on the agency's website to donate the new and like-new books collected.

Description
Reading volunteers are placed in preschools and elementary schools. Through the Reading Is Fundamental program, trained volunteers visit their assigned elementary classroom about 5 times throughout the school year to read aloud, engage with and distribute books to the students. Through Ready for Reading, trained volunteers visit PreK classrooms about once a week to read with the students.
