Description:

Provides evaluations and assistance for children and youth ages 17 and under in psychiatric emergency, available 24/7. Specially trained crisis counselors, strategically located throughout Tennessee, are available 24 hours a day to respond to crises rapidly, and effectively, wherever they occur. In Shelby, Fayette and Tipton County, call (866) 791-9226; in all other west TN counties, call (866) 791-9227. Callers should be instructed to contact this service directly themselves. For urgent cases where a fast response is necessary in Memphis, call Memphis Police Department Non-Emergency Number for the CIT team (901-545-2677 extension "0" and tell the dispatch this is a mental health emergency; if the person is violent or in danger of hurting themselves, call 9-1-1)
