YWCA - Knoxville - Transitional Housing for Women

Description:

Transitional shelter for females. Private rooms, shared bathrooms, communal living room, and kitchen facilities. Residents receive career counseling, assistance with job placement and training, referrals to other emergency resources, and an emergency food pantry and clothes closet is maintained on site.

Hours:

Mon - Fri 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Intake Process:

Client must apply through office and go through a screening process.

Eligibility:

Females 18 or older with no children in their immediate care. Must complete an application form and have a face to face interview with the Residential Director, provide references, provide proof of income, cannot be a violent offender, and must be drug and alcohol for at least 6 weeks prior to applying. Must maintain cleanliness of own room.
