Description:

Provides service center to answer questions about enrolling in TennCare or to report changes in your current TennCare enrollment (including a change to your address, income, name or if the number of people in your household changes or if you can get group health insurance; these changes MUST be reported here within 10 days of the change and require proof of any changes). NOTE: TennCare applications are no longer taken at DHS offices; you can make appointment to apply with approved health navigators offered through non-profits like GetCoveredTN; or you can apply directly through the Health Insurance Marketplace (1-800-318-2596) or online at www.healthcare.gov.

NOTE: A Federal judge has ordered that TennCare must provide hearings for people who have been waiting to get into the program. Anyone waiting since Oct 1, 2013 and going forward who has not heard back about their TennCare eligibility in 45 days since applying, or 90 days if applying on the basis of disability can call (855) 259-0701 to request a hearing. Must provide proof of applying (such as a federal application ID number from healthcare.gov or a letter)
