Provides the following programs as of January. 2023:
Continuing Education programs: FJFS provides affordable NASW-approved continuing education workshops on various topics for social workers and other professionals. Register online at mycenter.jccmemphis.org or call for information.
Counseling: FJFS provides counseling with licensed, professional counselor for individuals age 3 to adult, couples and families. Counseling is sliding scale based on income; no insurance accepted. First session is free. Call for information.
Parenting through Divorce Classes: FJFS provides court-mandated four-hour Parenting through Divorce classes, usually the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, 5- 9 pm. Class is online and divorcing parents may not attend the same session. Cost is $55.00, $50.00 in advance. Register online at mycenter.jccmemphis.org or call for information.
Support Groups: FJFS provides support group for people living with Parkinson!s Disease; meets first and third Monday of the month in MJCC Board Room. FJFS provides Coffee, Cake, and Conversation support group and other services for Holocaust survivors. MJCC also hosts Yad L!Yad support group for family caregivers dealing with any stage of dementia; usually meets second Tuesday of the month at 7 PM. Call for information.

Office Hours: Mon - Thu 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Fri 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; after hour counseling sessions available if needed.

Program Fees:
Continuing education workshops: $20.00, $15.00 in advance for 3 CEUs. Counseling: self-pay only, with sliding scale based on need; no insurance accepted. Parenting through Divorce classes: $55.00; $50.00 in advance.
Eligibility:
Residents of Memphis and Shelby County; some services are focused on the needs of the Jewish community. Counseling and support groups are open to all but within a Jewish context.
