Community Alliance for the Homeless (CAFTH) is a private, non-profit entity that leads effective community practices to end homelessness in Memphis/Shelby County. CAFTH is the lead agency for Memphis/Shelby County Continuum of Care (CoC) & Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). As the lead agency, CAFTH is responsible for the preparation of the consolidated CoC application that is submitted to HUD for all Memphis/Shelby County eligible projects and HMIS administration. CAFTH provides planning assistance, technical assistance, and service coordination to public and private agencies that provide direct services, emergency shelter, and/or housing to those in the community that are experiencing homeless or those that are at imminent risk of experiencing homeless.
Although CAFTH does NOT provide direct services to the public, IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT SOMEONE YOU HAVE SEEN OUT ON THE STREET OR A YOUTH WHO IS UNACCOMPANIED AND/OR COUCH SURFING, you may refer them to this website for resources from partner agencies.
