Disability Rights Tennessee (DRT) is a nonprofit agency that provides free legal advocacy services with the mission to protect the rights of Tennesseans with disabilities. DRT serves people with all types of disabilities in all 95 counties across Tennessee, providing information and referral, technical assistance, individual advocacy, legal assistance, and systemic advocacy in several areas. These areas include special education, abuse and neglect in facilities or where people receive services, access to Vocational Rehabilitation or Centers for Independent Living, access to participate in the community, information about decision making supports, TBI resources, voting rights, and more.

Eligibility:

Persons with disabilities or anyone concerned with disability issues. Requirements determined by federal guidelines and public-driven priorities annually approved by the board of Directors. All requests for services must go through a centralized intake process.
