Description:

Provides 24/7 volunteer-powered Crisis Center service to help callers in distress through compassionate, non-judgmental live telephone support. Trained volunteers use a combination of empathic listening, collaborative problem-solving, and crisis intervention to help callers with immediate problems and link them with the resources they need to cope and overcome. Along with the Crisis Line, the Crisis Center also administers the Call-4-Kids Hotline, the Elder Lifeline, the Ryan White HIV Care Line, and is the local affiliate of National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. All services are free, safe, and confidential.
