Description:

Provides hands-on vocational training for adults in specific technical occupations and skilled and semiskilled trades for individuals who have graduated from high school or the equivalent. Included are programs that prepare people for careers in areas as diverse as business, computer training, allied health occupations, including nursing and welding. Contact individual centers for available programs. Center also provides GED and HiSET (high school equivalency test) testing. This center also offers a new Health Information Management course. Truck driving course is also available (ages 21 and older) that is designed to lead to licensing.

Call or see website for more information. An application for admission must be completed and submitted with a high school/college transcript or copy of GED or HiSET scores.

Program Fees:

Call to verify tuition. Fees are subject to change without notice. Costs vary for textbooks, supplies, uniforms, and tools needed for training depending on program. Financial aid is available for those who qualify. In state and out of state tuition are the same.

Eligibility:

Must be TN resident ages 18 or older; accepts 17-year-olds with HS diploma, HiSet (High School Equivalency Test) or GED; May apply for enrollment at the school anytime and will be placed on a waiting list according to the date of their completed application and enrolled as vacancies occur. Those without a degree or equivalent can attend but without financial aid.
