Description:

Provides social, recreational and continued educational activities for individuals with intellectual disabilities, ages 12 and older. Varied programs include fall, spring, and summer programs, after school program, art classes, field trips and monthly weekend events that may include theater, sports and music for adults and children with developmental delays or intellectual disabilities such as Autism and Down Syndrome. Once enrolled, participants' families may use the drop-in service. Formerly known as the Exceptional Foundation of West TN.

Hours:

School Year Office Hours: Mon- Thu 9:00 am - 3:00 pm; Summer Office Hours: Mon - Fri 9:00 am - 3:00 pm; Fall, Spring and Summer Programs: Mon - Thu 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Intake Process:

Call to schedule an appointment; check website or email for special weekend events (must be pre-enrolled to participate)

Program Fees:

Fees vary by program. Scholarships available; each family is evaluated on case-by-case basis and scholarships are based on need. Does not accept government funding, and will not bill for Medicare or Medicaid.

Eligibility:

Ages 12 and older with intellectual disabilities or developmental delays such as autism, Down Syndrome, Asperger's and traumatic brain injury. Participants must be able to follow simple commands, willing to participate in group activities, and be independently able to take care of feeding and personal hygiene. Each case is individually considered for inclusion in program.
