Description:

Women's volunteer organization provides advocacy and support to enhance the quality of life for children and their families. Sponsors annual Les Passees Stock Exchange Consignment fundraiser to support the Les Passees Kids on the Block instructional puppet shows to promote inclusion of children with disabilities, Harwood Center and other projects. Kids on the Block program provides information and support to school-aged children through puppet shows on health and disability. Large, colorful puppet kids help children develop understanding, acceptance, appreciation for differences among people. Also teaches children about gang violence, bullying, fire safety, etc. Produces show in which disabled and non-disabled puppets answer questions and attempt to break down barriers between children with and without disabilities.

No Fee for schools or nonprofits for Puppet shows for organizations-donations welcome; Club Membership Fees: $75.00/year; $50.00/initiation fee; call for Stock Exchange Consignment fees as these vary by number of items.

Eligibility:

Organizations may request free puppet shows; women may inquire about membership to the club; anyone may request information about items accepted for consignment
