Description:
Works to eliminate racial segregation, discrimination and barriers for the unemployed and underemployed in the Memphis community since 1932. Provides job training, job referrals, professional development and employment programs to adults and summer employment program for youth ages 16-17 through a partnership with Kroger. Also provides tutoring and college prep programs.
Hours:
Regular Office Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; Workforce & Economic Development Orientation for Job Finding Assistance: Every Tuesday at 10:00 am - (9:45 am to register)
Intake Process:
Call or visit website for information on upcoming events or workshops; Tuesday Workforce orientation requires that participants be 18 or older and provide a Driver's License or Photo ID
Program Fees:
No Fee
Eligibility:
Call to register for Tuesday job orientation or for details on eligibility of other programs; children at Klondike, Humes and Manassas schools enroll in the program through the school guidance counselor.
