Description:
Provides Fresh Start Program which includes substance abuse therapy, employment preparation, job training, life skills development, and employment in a temporary service. Program is faith-based and church services are available to those who wish to attend. Program participation lasts for a minimum of 6 months to 1 year. Residents/students must pass all mandatory drug tests. Program moved to the Safe Harbor of Tipton County site in Brighton in Fall 2021.

Program Fees:
No cost for those who are unemployed; after employment is secured, participants are asked to reimburse approximately one-third of the cost of their care, on a sliding-scale basis capped at $175.00/week. Transportation related to medical, court, legal, or other non-work related appointments is provided at no charge; $7.00/day for rides to work.

Women, 18 or older, including substance abusers, and ex-offenders. No provisions for children. No sex offenders or violent offenders accepted. Must be willing and able to work through agency's work program and pay fees for meals, transportation, etc. after employment is found.

Fees

Transportation costs to and from work are provided at $5.00 per round trip regardless of distance; transportation related to medical, court, legal, or other non-work related appointments is provided at no charge.
