Military OneSource - Military Information and Referral/Non-Medical Counseling

Description:

Provides worldwide, 24/7 information and referral call center and website offering comprehensive information, resources and assistance on every aspect of military life--at no cost to the user. Funded by the Department of Defense. Serves active duty, Reserve and National Guard military personnel and their families, as well as deployed civilians and their families; veterans may also use the service up to one year after separation or retirement. Agency offers I&R on a wide range of topics, including deployment, reintegration, financial, relationship issues, grief, spouse employment and education, and parenting and life skills. All calls to the center are answered live by a master's level consultant. Military OneSource also offers confidential, non-medical counseling. Non-medical counseling is available for up to 12 sessions, per person, per issue with the goal of prevented the development or exacerbation of lifestyle conditions that may compromise military and family readiness. Sessions are available in-person, by telephone, secure online chat and video.

Eligibility:

Military personnel (active duty, National Guard and Reserve regardless of their activation status, and Coast Guard when activated for the Navy), their families, DoD expeditionary civilians (deployed civilians) and non-remarried Survivors and their families. Veterans, including Coast guard and their immediate family can access Military OneSource up to 365 days post separation or retirement
