Description:

Provides low-cost senior housing (See Hope Community listing for details), paid job training program lasting 6-9 months for eligible males and females over 18; job training programs include logistics, construction, warehouse jobs and recycling training (at 2690 Yale Avenue 38112, the new BDC Business Hub located at the old Power & Tel warehouse). Also provides several after-school programs to kids in the Binghampton neighborhood and works with children on permanent art installations. The BDC also provides free small business counseling for persons wishing to start a business.

Mon - Thu 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; Fri 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

No Fee for most services; senior housing is low cost for eligible older adults; Commercial Kitchen rental: $12.00/hr for Binghampton residents; $15.00/hr for non-residents; call for details on other Job Training program costs (some programs are free)

Persons seeking job training for construction work in the Binghampton area; persons applying for the job training course must be 18 or older (male and female), pass drug tests and be able to perform manual labor; call for details about Kaleidoscope Kitchen training program; preference given to minorities and Binghampton residents. After school programs target children in Binghampton area. Commerical kitchen rental is open to all, subject to availability
