Description:

Provides a pre-release and aftercare program for men who are incarcerated. The first phase consists of a 6-month intensive program while the person is still incarcerated. The second phase is a 12-month transitional living/aftercare mentoring program after the person is released. Men volunteer for the program and are screened before they are accepted. Skills learned throughout the program include, but are not limited to, responsibility in the workplace, parent training, marriage training, money management, and computer training. The goal is to minimize the chances of returning to prison and maximize hire-ability and self-sufficiency.

Hours:

Hours vary for the pre-release programming delivered in prisons across the state of TN. Transitional living and aftercare services are provided 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

Intake Process:

Incarcerated men must apply in the prison they are in and request an interview. Some referrals for transitional living services come in from clergy and prison officials throughout the state.

Minimal rent charged for the transitional living program. Call for more information

Men who are incarcerated. Agency cannot accept community corrections or people on sex offender list
