Description:

Works with parents to improve educational opportunities and outcomes for students with disabilities in middle Tennessee through non-legal advocacy

Services provided include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting parents with IEP meeting preparation; attending those or other education-related meetings
- Reviewing records and providing general consultation and support
- Referrals to local special education attorneys or organizations that provide legal services
- Advocacy support and education through workshops and information sessions for parents, advocates, and caregivers

Hours:

Hours vary, but tend to align with public school calendar and hours of operation

Go on website to complete a form online; client will be contacted after submitting the form; if unable to access online form, call main number for help

Eligibility:

Families of students with disabilities who are ages birth through 21.

*Includes families of students with Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs), Individual Education Programs (IEPs) through their local school systems, Section 504 Plans, as well as students with suspected disabilities.
