Resource center for young men and women, ages 16 - 26, who are currently in or have aged out of foster care or state custody. Participants have access to a laundry facility, showers, and a free thrift store with personal hygiene products and small household items.
Services at resource center include:
- GED Classes (waiver must be provided for youth under 18)
- Opportunity Passport (Financial Literacy and Match Program)
- SHE (Sexual health education for women, ages 16-21)
- Works Wonders (Career readiness training)
- Tutoring and post-secondary education planning
- Area to use computers, play games, and hang out with other program participants
Hours:
Mon - Fri 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Intake Process:
Must provide proof of being in or having been in either foster care system or state custody. Will take referrals from DCS, foster parents, and several other agencies.
