Description:

Provides low-cost home Internet service to qualifying households participating in the SNAP or Head Start or Early Head Start program, or if household qualifies as low income; increases internet accessibility to home computers in under-served areas. To be eligible, must have at least one resident who participates in the US Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP or Food Stamps), Head Start or Early Head Start, Medicaid, Free or reduced school lunches, Pell Grant for current reward year, or who is below 200% of Federal Poverty guidelines who is living in the residence; and must have an address in AT&T's 21-state service area which offers home Internet service, and must be without an outstanding debt for AT&T fixed Internet service within the last six months or outstanding debt incurred under this program.

Intake Process:

Call to apply or apply online; may also download a form to print, fill out and mail or email from the website; must provide proof of one person in the household being on SNAP or food stamps or Head Start or Early Headstart,Medicaid, Free or reduced school lunches, Pell Grant for current reward year, or who is below 200% of Federal Poverty guidelines who is living in the residence; Requires proof: copy of EBT or SNAP card or letter from DHS confirming participation in the SNAP program or proof of being in Head Start or Early Headstart or proof of being enrolled in these other government programs; or you must meet low income eligibility guidelines (makes below 200% of Federal Poverty guidelines).

Program Fees:

Monthly fees range from $5.00-$10.00/month, depending on download speed of Wi-Fi available at applicant's residence; applicants are not required to pay installation or modem charges/fees to participate in the program. Unlimited internet may be up to $30.00

Eligibility:

Persons who have at least one SNAP recipient living in their home (does not need to be the homeowner or persons whose name is on the rental lease); call or look online first to confirm that internet access is available in your neighborhood; must also have no outstanding debts to AT&T
