Description:

Provides the Big River Crossing, a pedestrian walkway and bike path across the old Harahan Bridge at Memphis across the river to West Memphis, Arkansas. Path is open from 6:00 am till 10:00 pm each day. Nearly one mile in length, the Big River Crossing is the longest public pedestrian bridge across the Mississippi River. Emergency vehicles can access and cross the bridge from either direction and the bridge is monitored by security cameras 24 hours a day, with two emergency callboxes located on the bridge. Pets on leashes (no longer than 6 foot leashes) are allowed. There are no garbage cans on the bridge so if you carry anything onto the crossing, please take it with you when you leave.

Enter the crossing from Memphis, TN at the Channel 3 Drive/Virginia Avenue West or from West Memphis, Arkansas at Bridgeport/Dacus Lake Road, I-55 Exit 1. Street parking on Channel 3 Drive

Eligibility:

Open to all; no motorized vehicles allowed with the exception of ADA-Compliant wheelchairs.
Pets allowed on leashes no longer than six feet.
