Description:

Faith-based non-profit serves the Memphis area with family centered programs, including mentoring and tutoring programs for children, financial literacy classes, anger management programs for men (focused on preventing violence against women), family and individual counseling, beginner piano lessons for ages 6 and up and food pantry. Office and programs are housed at the Right Direction Christian Ministries Church (across from Sherwood Elementary). Spanish speaking staff available.

Hours:

Office Hours: Mon - Sat 9:00 am - 6:00 pm; Food Pantry: 4th Saturday of the month 10:00 am - Noon

Intake Process:

Food Pantry: 4th Saturday of the month (10:00 - Noon) or call (901-496-3938) to request emergency food; Go to the website, call or come to the main office (901-244-5887) to register for other programs; Food pantry applicants must provide photo ID and show proof of need. Children under 18 must have parental permission to participate in programs.

Program Fees:

Food Pantry: Free to those in need; Fees for the following services are based on a sliding scale fee: Tutoring, Mentoring or Piano Lessons: $20.00/Hour Session; Counseling: $60.00/One Hour Session; $80.00/90 Minute Session; Financial Counseling: Individual phone or in person session: $60.00/Hour; Email financial counseling: $40.00/hour (fees include pulling credit reports and review); all are based on ability to pay, call for sliding scale
