Description:
Provides regional Memphis TOSHA (TN Occupational Health & Safety Administration) or OSHA office. This office services Fayette, Hardeman, Crockett, Lauderdale, Shelby and Tipton counties (all river counties). Conducts training and education for employers/employees including annual Safety Congress for safety and health professionals. Assists public agencies in establishing safety programs. Engages in research to develop occupational safety standards. Enforces workplace health standards by consulting with employers to assure work stations meet standards, monitors air samples, checks personal protection equipment, and checks for chemical hazards and noise levels. Also accepts and investigates complaints against businesses with unsafe working conditions.

Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
