Holiday Bureau of Anderson County -Christmas Gifts - 2022

Description:

Holiday gifts for 2022 will be distributed at the Holiday Bureau, 728 B Emory Valley Rd. in Oak Ridge, for children who reside in Anderson County. Call 865-483-7831 to sign up for an appointment time to come to the Holiday Bureau to choose your gifts. Sign-ups will be every Saturday in October from 9am-1pm & toys are given out in November. You will need to bring a government issued ID, proof of residence in Anderson County, proof of income and household members. Clients must be low income as defined by the SNAP (food stamp) program. You do not have to receive food stamps, but if you do, please bring your SNAP award letter, which has all the information the Bureau needs. You will still need an ID. If you live in one of the elderly/handicapped apartment buildings, the apartment manager will arrange the sign-up process.

Intake Process:

When you come in for your appointment you must bring the following:
1. Proof of residence in Anderson County (utility bill, current housing agreement, Food Stamp notification letter, etc.)
2. Photo ID for each member of the household (SS cards, school record, state issued ID, etc.)
3. Proof of all household income (pay stubs, DHS or Food Stamp award letter, child support award letter, etc.)
*** The Food Stamp award letter works well for both ID and income verification ***
*** All information presented must be current within the last 12 months ***

Anderson County residents only.

You can only sign up with ONE organization for Holiday assistance: information may be verified by the Holiday Bureau, and information is shared with other agencies and churches.
