Description:
SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), formerly known as the Food Stamp Program, is a benefit that offers nutrition assistance to eligible, low-income individuals and families in the form of a card (EBT card) which can be used to purchase groceries, including fresh meat, fruits and vegetables. Benefits are automatically added to your EBT card each month. Personal SNAP education/presentations are available for any organization.

Mon-Fri: 8:00 am - 4:45 pm
Intake Process:
Contact the CAC Office on Aging for assistance applying for benefits. Walk-in or call 865-524-2786

Eligibility:
Must be a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, or a refugee to get SNAP, and meet income requirements. Some legal immigrants are ineligible for SNAP benefits but may have eligible dependents.
