Food & Baby Pantry: The Peggy E. and L.R. Jalenak Food and Baby Pantry provides free shelf-stable kosher food, diapers and baby essentials to any Shelby County resident in need of food or baby essentials. Food pantry may be augmented by donated fresh fruit or produce. Baby pantry serves families with children age newborn to 2 years old. Baby items provided include diapers, wipes, bottles and pacifiers; we do not provide baby clothes or toys. Call for information/intake before Thursday, pantry pick-up Thursday afternoon or Friday.

Office Hours: Mon - Thu 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Fri 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Intake Process:

Call for appointment; appointment preferred, but limited number of walk ins accepted, preferably later in the week

Program Fees:

No Fee for food or baby pantry; home-delivered meals also free or donations accepted..

Eligibility:

Residents of Memphis and Shelby County in need of food or diapers and baby essentials for babies from birth to age 2 (persons don't have to be Jewish to get food or baby items from the pantry); those who are eligible can pick up or receive food bi-weekly from the pantry; to receive home delivered meals persons must be Jewish and 60 years of age or older or have a disability..
