Description:
Youth Encouragement Services (YES) operates two youth centers that offer educational and recreational programs as alternatives for kids ages 6-18 during after school hours, weekends and summer break. The programs offered by YES effectively keep children living in the inner city off the street, giving them a safe place to go where they can engage in social, educational and cultural activities, including tutoring, mentoring and after school and summer programs.

Summer Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Tutoring Services (during school year only): Tue 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
After School (During School Year) Regular Hours: Mon - Fri 4:30 am - 6:30 pm

Part of the Character Count initiative, daily chapel is offered in the after-school program (Mon - Fri, 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm) and in the summer program (Mon - Fri 10:30 am - 3:30 pm).

Description
Week long overnight camp is offered in the summer program to participating children. This takes place at the YES camp in Joelton and the children experience recreation activities, arts and crafts, water activities, and fun outdoor activities.

Description
One-on-one homework and tutoring assistance offered on Tuesday evenings from 6pm-7pm through the school year. Children receive a snack and transportation home after the session.
