Description
Easterseals Tennessee's Adult Community Center serves adults living with disabilities by providing a safe place to learn and participate in constructive activities and programs. Dedicated staff members offer high-quality care to individuals, while promoting their dignity and independence. Adults living with disabilities benefit by having opportunities for socialization, loving care and support that helps maintain their health and well-being. In addition to giving caregivers a break from their daily routine, the Community Center also provides an affordable alternative to costly in-home or residential care.

Description
Personal assistance supplies families with one-to-one support that increases a participant's skill base to optimize their personal and social competency in order to live successfully in the community. Some of these activities may include feeding, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, as well as, activities of daily living such as grocery shopping, meal preparation, doctor's appointments, and access to community resources. This service is available in both Middle Tennessee and West Tennessee.

Description
24/7 service for individuals living with disabilities. Easterseals assists with choosing a home, finding a roommate and providing home health care workers to assist with daily living needs, shopping, bills, etc. As a partner in the State of Tennessee-CHOICES program Easterseals is regularly staffing additional homes to meet the needs of more adults in our community. Transportation is provided with the needs of each individual supported in mind. This service is offered in the Middle and West Tennessee regions.

Description
Supported Employment provides assistance to people with disabilities including individualized job development and specialized job training. Supported Employment services provide members the opportunity to earn living wages and other employment benefits, develop new skills, increase community participation, and increase self-esteem, empowerment and quality of life. Through this programming Easterseals TN increases the opportunities of acceptance, participation and inclusion for individuals with disabilites. Customized employment has employed members at local businesses, such as restaurants and hardware stores.

Provides recreational day camp for children and adults with disabilities or special needs. A typical day can include, but is not limited to, swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, pontoon boats rides, camp fires, dances, and talent shows.
