Shade Tree Clinic

Description:

The Shade Tree Clinic is a health clinic run by Vanderbilt medical students. The goal of the clinic is to address the acute and chronic health needs of uninsured patients. THEY MAY NOT BE TAKING NEW PATIENTS AT THIS TIME. Services include: primary care for adults, laboratory testing, medications, screening and diagnostic imaging, chronic disease management, nutrition counseling, vaccines, social services & patient advocacy, and interpreter services.

One Saturday a month, there is a prenatal clinic at Shade Tree. Patients will receive a prenatal visit including a physical exam, ultrasound, fetal heart doppler, prenatal vitamins, and appropriate lab work. The clinic also offers any necessary social services and education about your pregnancy, including assistance in applying for CoverKids, Tennessee!€™s insurance program for mothers and babies. The remainder of your care will take place at clinics in the Nashville area that provide full prenatal services.

Appointments: Tue 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm; Sat 12:00 pm - 4:00pm

Program Fees:

Shade Tree Clinic provides the following services free of charge: primary care for adults, laboratory testing, medications, screening and diagnostic imaging, chronic disease management, nutrition counseling, vaccines, social services & patient advocacy, and interpreter services. Call for costs related to specialty services.

Eligibility:

Uninsured patients in Nashville. Patients must call to make an appointment.
