Description:
Historic Mansker's Station consists of a reproduction 1779 log station and the Bowen Plantation House, said to be the longest standing brick structure in Middle Tennessee. Tours of both sites are conducted Monday through Friday. During the tour, costumed interpreters allow visitors to experience both life on the frontier and life on a plantation. Tours are self paced with an interpreter as the guide and typically last around an hour. School groups are offered from February thru December. These tours are tied to the current State of Tennessee approved curriculum.

Volunteers are welcome to help with daily walk-in tours, school groups, and at special events. Mansker's Station staff works with volunteers to learn new skills and add to existing skills that a volunteer possesses to bring the best living history experience to guests. Volunteers can assist with gardening, blacksmithing, woodworking, giving tours, assisting with special events, and in many other capacities.
