Description:
The West End Early Learning Childhood Community offers infant, toddler, preschool and pre-kindergarten classes for children 6 weeks to 5 years, with DHS licensing. The ECLC at West End Synagogue includes an infant and toddler (Tinokot) room for ages 6 weeks-15 months, a toddler classroom (K!tanim) for ages 16-30 months, and a preschool program (Gan Shelanu) with a mixed age classroom for ages 2.5-5 years. The program is a partnership between the Gordon Jewish Community Center and West End Synagogue.
Hours:
The Early Childhood Learning Center is a 2, 3, or 5 day a week program from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm with before care starting at 7:00 am and after care closing at 4:30 pm or 6:00 pm.
Intake Process:
Complete the online Early Childhood Learning Center application and submit it with your payment. Openings are first come, first serve and placement is not guaranteed.
Program Fees:
The Early Childhood Learning Center fees: 1st child application fee is $150 and sibling application fee is $100; infant or toddler deposit is $500 and preschooler deposit is $300 with deposits applied to first month's enrollment fee. Monthly enrollment fees range from $495 - $1,375 depending on the age of the child and the number of days attending per week. Before and after-care is available for fees up to $490/month. Those unable to pay stated fees may submit a scholarship application, which is usually due late March or early April prior to the year the child will start at the ECLC. Those applying to the ECLC are expected to be members of the Gordon JCC and/or West End Synagogue.

All families are welcome, regardless of race, creed, color, physical ability, or national origin. Staff truly values the diversity of the Center. Your child will learn about Jewish holidays and customs. The approach to Jewish content is about exposure, experience, and values, not religious practice.

Children 6 weeks to 5 years regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, status with regard to public assistance, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
