The Cheatham County School District, together with the greater community, is creating opportunities for all students to be successful, lifelong learners and to develop into respectful and caring citizens, who engage in a positive society. The district will provide, in an inclusive environment, an exemplary educational program complete with multiple pathways for post-secondary success for all students.

Schools operate Mon - Fri 7:45 am - 2:45 pm; call for central office hours
Intake Process:
Parents new to the district can register their child at the school they will be attending. It takes approximate 30 minutes to complete an enrollment packet. The legal guardian must be present to complete the enrollment packet. Your child does not have to be present. Items you need to bring with you: proof of child!s age (examples: birth certificate, passport, tax return, medical record, etc.); up-to-date immunization record (must be on official state of Tennessee form); proof of physical exam (must be up-to-date on official state of Tennessee form); custody/guardianship papers signed by a judge (only if child is not living with both biological parents); and three current proofs of residence (examples: utility bills, driver!s license, rent/mortgage agreement, auto registration, voter registration, bank statement).

Children who live in Cheatham County. The district may also accept students zoned for other counties if room is available. Contact the central office or visit the website for an out of county application and return it to the central office.

Each school welcomes donations of school supplies, copy paper, disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer, new and gently used books and magazines, and art supplies. Contact the school for additional information.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteers are encouraged to help in classrooms, to assist with office work, and to help with special events and other programs. Contact your local school for more information and screening requirements.

Description
The Cheatham County School Board is composed of six elected members, who serve staggered four-year terms. Both the monthly meetings and workshops are held at the Board Annex Room, 104 Elizabeth St. in Ashland City. All meetings are open to the public.
Hours
School board meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. (except January). The board also holds a workshop on the Thursday before the monthly meeting. The workshop begins at 6 p.m.

Anyone may attend school board meetings. School board members are elected.
