The Cheatham County Jail is at the back of the courthouse and was built in 1986.

Visitation hours are: Males: Sat 9:00 am - 12:00 pm & 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm and Sun 9:00 am - 12:00 pm & 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm Protective Custody Visits: Sat & Sun 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm Females: Sat 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
