Description:

NOTE: AS OF NOVEMBER 2021, COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS WILL STILL LIMIT CLASS SIZE. Created in 2016 by Mayor Jim Strickland and the City of Memphis Administration to provide a program for men that builds character, improves communication and strengthens leadership skills. Provides courses held at local sites offering a program that helps men find jobs, improve their relationships and communication and leadership skills. The program, sponsored by the Memphis Office of Community Affairs, is targeted especially toward men experiencing re-entry, but is open to any men over 18 who live in the city of Memphis. Topics covered include conflict resolution and effective communication, time management and financial literacy, and job finding skills (resume building, dress for success and mock interviews). Courses take place on designated days for several weeks periods at various sites; Class times vary; call or see website for details. Office Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
