Provides utility assistance including gas, electric and water payment services, youth enrichment programs (including youth development services, childcare, nutrition instruction, family literacy program, business training for youth and a teen center), personal care items and a new parent assistance program on healthy pregnancy and births. Classes are held weekly and include games, snacks, free baby items, birth videos and educational resources. This program is a collaboration between The Salvation Army and Vanderbilt's School of Nursing and Maternal Infant Health Outreach Worker Program.
*NOTE: They may be out of rent and utility assistance funds. Check website before submitting a referral or calling. *As of January 2023, funding was available.

Program Fees:
No Fee for financial assistance programs; Youth programs (youth development services, childcare, nutrition instruction, family literacy program, business training for youth and a teen center) fees are $50.00/semester.

Volunteers are always welcome at Salvation Army. Tasks include tutoring children, helping in the food pantry, helping with holiday programs like Angel Tree and Red Kettle, and general volunteering that may include painting and cleaning buildings.
