Description:
The mission of the Mayor's Youth Council is to: provide ongoing and direct input on government policies and practices that may affect young people; advocate on issues and initiatives that may impact the lives of young people; recommend and foster initiatives for and by youth; act as a communication link between the Metropolitan Government and the young people of Nashville; and promote and recognize the abilities, accomplishments, and contributions of young people in their communities.
Intake Process:
Application is available on the website and is usually due by the end of August. Two recommendation forms and interviews also required. Call or visit the website for more information.

Eligibility:
High school sophomores, juniors and seniors who can commit approximately two hours per week for meetings and events for one year.

Hours
If selected for the Mayor's Youth Council, participants will need to plan to spend approximately two hours per week for one year taking part in meetings and events.
Eligibility
Davidson County public or private high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who can commit approximately two hours per week for meetings and events for one year.
