Nashville Recue Mission - Women's Campus

Description:

Nashville Rescue Mission's Women & Children's Campus, formerly known as the Family Life Center, provides faith-based support and guidance to homeless women and children as well as food, clothing, and shelter. Provides assistance to women seeking employment, housing, and proper schooling for their children through the city's available resources.

Hours:

Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (24 hours for shelter)

Intake Process:

Persons are asked to try to come in preferably between the hours of 8:00 am -2:00 pm Monday thru Friday. This will ensure there are enough staff available to get you checked in properly and do a thorough intake/orientation, to help you be successful. If you cannot come during those hours on your first day, do not worry, you can come in as a new guest any time of the day or night !€“ we are open 24 hours a day.
!€¢ The nightly curfew for returning guests is 6:30pm.
!€¢ Agency has [dormitory style] housing for single women or women with children.
!€¢ When you come in, staff will complete an intake and you will be assigned a case manager who will work with you going forward on your unique needs.
!€¢ Staff prefers new guests have a state issued ID upon intake; however, that is not a requirement to stay. Your case manager can work with you to help you get identification. Staff do ask that you provide some type of identification within 72 hours.
!€¢ Upon entering the facility all belongings are searched. This will occur each time you come into the building.
!€¢ Staff ask guests to limit personal possessions to one bag and a purse !€“ this can be a suitcase, duffle bag, or other bag. This is because we lack storage space at our facility.
!€¢ Staff do not allow personal linens, food or drink, weapons, glass items, aerosol cans, hair dye, and weave.
!€¢ All prescription medication must be in a prescription bottle with your name on it [or your child!€™s name].
!€¢ All over the counter medication needs to be in the original container.
!€¢ Agency holds all medication in the supervisor's office in a locked cabinet for safe keeping.
