Description:

Provides a lead paint reduction program for City of Memphis and/or Shelby County residents that offers free lead paint inspections, interior and exterior painting and remediation of hazardous lead contaminated housing in the city. To be eligible, renters must meet income eligibility requirements; the rental property must have been built before 1978 and be within Shelby County; the owner of the property must agree to participate; priority is given to persons with children under the age of six years old who spend at least 60 hours per year in the housing unit; and the housing owner must be up to date on their city/county taxes. Check website for details on program eligibility, which may change with different rounds of funding.
