This site features a preschool for children ages 1-5 and a free literacy program for children in grades K-5 of MNPS who are struggling to read (Y-Literacy). Fees vary by program. Preschool: Annual registration fee of $65/individual or $85/family. Wait list fee of $45. Weekly enrollment cost of $200 to $265/week per child. Fees are subject to change. Martial Arts: Fees are on a monthly basis. $60 -$90. Financial assistance toward membership is available through the Open Doors program. Call for more information.
Eligibility:
Facility is open to all; swimming/swimming lessons are open to people ages 6 months and above. Parents must be in the water with children between 6 months and 3 years. Preschool serves ages 1-5. Martial Arts training available to people ages 5 and up. YMCA membership not required to register.

Description
The YMCA's literacy program (Y-Literacy) helps struggling readers in grades K-5 gain confidence by increasing their reading comprehension and literacy skills. We offer free one-on-one tutoring to students who are reading below their grade level. Our curriculum covers all of the essential components of literacy: phonics, fluency, comprehension, vocabulary and writing.
