Description:
Every school year, free backpacks filled with school supplies, donated by the citizens of Morgan and Scott Counties, are handed out to low income schoolchildren. Applications to receive the backpacks are taken at the end of the school year for the following year. The supplies for the backpacks are collected all year round and are assembled by volunteers during the summer. A list of needed supplies for each grade level can be obtained by contacting the schools. In 2023, the backpacks will be given out to the children on August 1.
