Description:
This category provides child care financial support to families identified as working in an essential services category during the state of emergency due to COVID-19, and is in effect until further notice. It is intended to support families so they may continue working as an essential employee. To qualify a parent/guardian must meet the definition of an employee providing essential services. There is an expanded list on the DHS website of what is considered an "essential" job. Go to the website at https://www.tn.gov/humanservices/need-help, click on "Find COVID-19 Information and Resources", scroll down and click on "Children and Families" and "Childcare".
You can fill out an application for the COVID-19 Essential Employee Child Care Assistance Program online at tdhs.service-now.com.
