Description:

Provides the Behavioral Health Safety Net (BHSN) program for children that offers free mental health services for children and youth in TN that do not qualify for TennCare, CoverKids, etc. and who have no behavioral health insurance coverage. To qualify, a child must be ages 3-17 years old, have a qualifying mental health diagnosis, be a TN resident, have no behavioral health insurance coverage, be at or below 138% of the Federal poverty level, not be in a long-term, inpatient or residential facility and not be in state legal custody. Agency provides children's outpatient treatment, day treatment for ages 5-17, counseling, medication management and on site pharmacy services.

Hours:

Children's Clinic Hours: Tue and Thu 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm; Sat 8:00 am - Noon

Intake Process:

Call (901) 821-5600 extension 5626 for prescreening appointment or email for information (nicole.davis@cmiofmemphis.org). Children accompanied by parent or guardian on Saturdays, 8:00 am - Noon for initial assessment; clients are assigned case managers and appointments with doctors as time allows.
