Veterans Health Administration - American Rescue Plan - Assistance for Vets With Health Care Costs

The American Rescue Plan, enacted by the Federal Government in March, 2021, provides veterans, who have been severely affected by the coronavirus pandemic, protections and monetary aid. It ensures that veterans have continued access to quality health care and protection against COVID-19, as well as providing needed economic relief. This includes:

1. Co-payments for medical care and pharmacy services provided through the Veterans Health Administration from April 6, 2020
through September 30, 2021 will be cancelled. Please do NOT make any more payments at this time.

2. All copayments paid to VA for medical care and pharmacy services between April 6, 2020 to the present will be refunded.

3. In addition, the American Rescue Plan will also include funding for physical and mental health care.
