Description:

The Chinese Historical Society of Memphis and the Mid-South works to document, record and preserve the historical events pertaining to the Chinese immigrants and their descendants who settled, lived and died in the Mississippi Delta regions of Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee. The organization sponsors films and documentaries, photographic histories, printed memorabilia, speakers and other historic accounts pertaining to the Chinese in the Tri-State region; the society also maintains the grave sites and markers of the Chinese section in Elmwood Historic Cemetery.
