Youth Villages programs are an effective alternative treatment for children and youth who otherwise would be placed in foster care, residential treatment, detention centers, hospitals or other juvenile facilities.

Description

Description
MST therapy is a family-based mental health treatment model for adolescents ages 12-17 who display serious antisocial behaviors. The therapy is intensive and is conducted in the child's home by a single counselor. The counselor typically works with a child over a 3-5 month period. A counselor on the MST team is available to the family 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Description
The Intercept program provides an intensive, in-home parenting skills program for children who are at a high risk of entering foster care. Family Intervention Specialists work with both the child and the caregivers to provide case management, crisis support, and interventions if needed. They will meet 2-3 times each week.

Program provides services to children and youth from birth to age 18 who have emotional and/or behavioral problems or have experienced abuse and/or neglects. Family must be willing to have a provider come into the home.

No fee. Can be funded through DCS or Medicaid/TennCare.
